This section is split out into Permission to Enter, Extension of Stay and Indefinite Leave to Remain.
Permission to Enter is where you are outside the UK and are applying to enter the UK to live with your sponsor who is also either your Spouse, Civil Partner or Unmarried partner.
Extension of Stay is where you are applying to extend the current stay that has already been granted to you as a Spouse, Civil Partner or Unmarried partner. This application can only be submitted from within the UK.
Indefinite Leave to Remain is where, after you have fulfilled a clean qualifying period of time required by the home office, you can apply for permission from the home office to remain in the UK indefinitely.
This route is a route that leads to settlement as once you have obtained your Indefinite Leave to Remain you can then go on to Naturalise and become a British Citizen.
If you are the Spouse, Civil Partner or Unmarried partner of a British Citizen and wish to reside in the UK with your significant other this is a route that could be available to you with the proper evidencing of your relationship.
*Please note that this list is non-exhaustive and further information may be required and advised upon seeing our instruction*
** Please note that if you have a dependant (under 18) and wish to bring them with you as part of your application this is something that can be done. We ask that you please mention this when contacting us as the main applicant about their eligibility and fees.
FAQ
An Unmarried Partner is someone who is in a genuine and subsisting relationship with a person who is present and settled in the UK, but the couple are not married and not in a civil partnership.
To be recognised as an Unmarried Partner under the UK immigration rules, you must provide evidence that your relationship has existed for at least 2 years before submitting the application.
There is no difference in terms of the application, only in how a couple chooses to define their relationship.
A Spouse Visa is generally a faster route because a Fiancé Visa requires an additional step. With a Fiancé Visa, you are granted 6 months to enter the UK, get married, and then you must submit a second application for a Spouse Visa after the wedding has taken place.
In contrast, applying directly for a Spouse Visa avoids this extra stage, making the process quicker overall.
Pricing
This is the fee that the Home Office will charge for the application. This is not included in MAS costs.
These are the costs charged to you by us. 50% is taken upfront, remaining 50% taken prior to submission.
This is shown for illustrative purposes of the total amount payable by you. Price made up of MAS and Home Office fees.
